Before their start date, Vianova sends new hires everything they need to set up their home office so they are ready for their new adventure from day one.

On their first day, new Colleagues are welcomed by People Development and receive a Vianova-branded backpack containing items that reflect our identity: a reusable water bottle to reduce plastic waste, a wireless-charging phone stand, our planner, and other small Vianova-branded gifts!

On-the-job support

Each new hire receives a structured, personalized onboarding plan with activities designed to develop the specific skills needed for their role.

Onboarding day

Five half-day sessions to meet representatives from the various departments and learn about their daily activities, responsibilities, and team objectives.

Mentoring

Every newcomer is paired with a Trainer who shares the know-how needed for the role and helps them understand our corporate culture.

Introduction letter

New hires introduce themselves to their Colleagues through a short letter, announcing their arrival and helping foster a warm welcome and new relationships!

Alongside traditional corporate training, Vianova has established an unlimited fund for an innovative program that allows each Colleague to choose their own educational path at any institution.

Colleagues can take courses to expand and update their technical knowledge or pursue programs to develop interpersonal skills and become more actively and consciously engaged in their work

The program also includes individual counseling, coaching, or psychotherapy with accredited professionals. The Company covers all course expenses, while Colleagues contribute their own leave hours, which are credited at an enhanced value.

Our commitment also includes purchasing books requested by our Colleagues, whether related to their profession or any other literary genre.

We offer Colleagues who need psychological or educational support access to psychotherapy programs, including sessions involving their family members.

This support for parenting and family life is designed to help restore the balance and peace of mind essential to personal well-being and effectiveness at work.

Vianova Learning is the online training platform available to all Colleagues.

This collection of technical and cross-functional courses is a valuable resource for encouraging everyone’s growth.

Thousands of video courses have been produced, selected, and purchased to help everyone develop their skills and meet the challenges of the telecommunications industry. Colleagues have free access to all resources whenever they wish and may also take courses during working hours with their Manager’s agreement.

Our Colleagues with the greatest expertise in core business topics share a wealth of knowledge and best practices that everyone can access at any time.

These experts record video courses and produce reference materials, which are uploaded to Vianova Learning and made available across the Company. The courses become part of Vianova’s institutional knowledge, allowing us to provide high-quality training tailored to actual needs while recognizing and showcasing internal expertise for everyone’s benefit.

To keep pace with rapid and continuous developments in technology and business, Vianova continually invests in upskilling and reskilling its Colleagues.

From onboarding onward, everyone follows an ongoing, progressive professional development path that helps them update their technical skills and become increasingly independent in their role.

Technical training is delivered through internal and external courses, as well as knowledge sharing among Colleagues.

More experienced Colleagues share their expertise through continuous, structured training.

Skills development, supported by Management, is essential for driving business growth and helping everyone engage more actively and consciously with changes in the workplace.

To support the growth of Partners and Colleagues, the Company runs sales and technical training programs that keep skills current as Vianova’s offerings continue to evolve.

Led by internal instructors, either in person or online, these courses explore Vianova services such as Centrex, Cloud, Mobile, and fixed-line plans. These initiatives support the people working with our services in their daily activities and help maintain employees’ awareness and knowledge of topics central to the Company.

Giving everyone at least two hours a week to study is a priority, although we know that finding time and concentration during the workday is not easy.

That’s why People Development works with Managers to define training plans for all Colleagues. This allows everyone to focus on their personal and professional growth during working hours, without urgent tasks and daily operations preventing them from giving learning activities the attention they deserve.

Taking on new challenges and trying different responsibilities can be motivating. It encourages the exchange of ideas between departments and allows everyone to apply their skills in different settings.

That’s why, every year, Vianova makes some externally advertised job openings available to internal candidates and encourages job rotation. Selection criteria for Colleagues are less restrictive than for external applicants, because familiarity with the Company and its dynamics is considered a significant advantage.

In young people, we see tomorrow’s entrepreneurs, scientists, and engineers. Investing in their education is how we can continue to innovate and nurture the talent of the future.

That’s why Vianova works with selected degree programs at the University of Pisa and funds scholarships that give outstanding, deserving students the opportunity to attend university. The Company also offers paid internships to help young people gain their first work experience, develop professionally, and put their academic knowledge into practice.

We have always recognized that timely, well-structured feedback on one’s work is one of the most effective ways to develop skills.

That’s why Vianova fosters a culture of feedback through meetings with Managers and regularly inviting Colleagues to comment on one another’s work. A simple, quick way to reflect and improve!

Managers meet with each team member at least once a year to discuss results and understand how satisfied they are with their experience at Vianova.

The discussion follows a Company-wide framework covering performance, corporate values, and our Leadership Model, and serves as the starting point for setting growth objectives for the following year. This conversation encourages open dialogue, strengthens relationships, and lays the foundations for growth based on respect, transparency, and shared values.
